These images are Darla's redesigns of Marvel Comics'  controversial "New Warriors" characters.  The controversy stemmed from the characters Snowflake, Marvel's first non-binary superhero and their twin brother, Safespace's pejorative names, and the rest of the team's weak powers and unflattering costumes.  Snowflake and Safespace were renamed Fridge and Fortress, redrawn in their correct genders, and their superpowers were upgraded. Their teammates B-Negative, Trailblazer, and Screentime also were revised as Nightguard, Eldritch, and Cyberknight, with improved superpowers and origins befitting Marvel superheroes. As the late great Stan Lee used to say, "Excelsior!"
